The Greenville Zoo’s Education Department offers lively hands-on programs sure to engage students as they learn. Programs are 45 minutes in length. All programs are designed to complement the South Carolina science curriculum standards.

Pricing: $40 per program (maximum of 30 children and 3 adults). Total is due within three weeks of reservation.

Pricing: Cost is $40 per program, per classroom. Class capacity is 30 students/3 adults - no exceptions. Please have extra adults and chaperones enjoy the zoo on their own during program time.

Learn about the classification through contact with the real thing! We compare "invertebrates" to "vertebrates" with an emphasis on the five vertebrate classes. Live animals illustrate the basic features of each class.

Middle School Career Day

If you are interested in an animal career, this is your opportunity to learn. The 2008 career day is set for 1-4 pm, Saturday, Feb. 23. More info

Volunteers

Are you a student interested in volunteering at the Zoo? The Education Department has volunteer training sessions twice a year. All volunteers must be 14 years and older. Training occurs in November and late April-early May. Training fees apply. More info
