High School Education Programs

Program for High School Students Careers with Animals

This program presents young teens with educational opportunities, salary ranges and ideas on how to start planning for an exciting job they may have not considered.

Program for High School Students  Who's Who in the Zoo

How much does an elephant eat? How does the lion get a shot? Where does the zoo get the animals who live there? Zookeeping techniques and general care of the Greenville Zoo animals are emphasized.

Customized Programs

We work with teachers and their staff to develop specialized programs to fit the needs of the class and curriculum. Please contact the education department to set up a meeting by calling 864-467-4850.

High School Volunteers

Are you a student interested in volunteering at the Zoo? We have volunteer training sessions twice a year. All volunteers must be 14 years and older. Training occurs in November and late April-early May. Training fees apply. More info
