The Greenville Zoo is a smoke-free facility.

How long does it take to tour the zoo?

It takes approximately 1-1½ hours to tour the zoo.

Are there special feeding times?

Animals are generally fed before the zoo opens and at closing time.

Are pets welcome in the zoo?

Pets are welcome in Cleveland Park, but not inside the zoo grounds.

Is smoking allowed at The Greenville Zoo?

The City of Greenville has a smoke-free ordinance that prohibits smoking in certain outdoor areas, including zoos. Those wishing to smoke must be located outside the zoo, at least ten feet from any entry.

What is your method of payment?

Cash, Check, VISA and Mastercard only. The concession stand does not accept credit cards.

Do you have an ATM in the zoo?

Unfortunately we do not have an ATM onsite. The closest ATM is only a few blocks away, at the Spinx Gas Station at the intersection of Laurens Road and Washington Street. 

Do you have a concession stand?

Yes. The concession stand is located right past the Reptile House. You can purchase drinks, hot dogs, chips, popcorn and an assortment of candy. Credit cards are not accepted at concessions.

Do you have a gift shop?

Yes. The Safari Shop offers an array of zoo themed gifts, t-shirts and toys. VISA and Mastercard are accepted in the gift shop.

Can you reserve shelters inside the zoo?

The shelters inside the zoo are available on a first come, first serve basis. The shelters located just outside the zoo may be rented. For more information on those shelters, click here.

Do you rent wheelchairs, wagons or strollers?

Equipment rental is unavailable. However, you are welcome to bring your own to the zoo. The entire Greenville Zoo is accessible. 

Is the zoo handicapped accessible?

Yes. The zoo has both ramps and stairs leading to all exhibits.

Where are the restrooms located in the zoo?

Restrooms are located in the farmyard area and behind concessions. Also, you will find restrooms outside the zoo, to the right of the ticket booth.

Can you leave the zoo and return later?

Sorry, admission is valid for one entry.

Do you give rainchecks for inclement weather?

The zoo is unable to provide rainchecks.

Can you bring bikes, rollerblades, skates or skateboards to the zoo

For the safety of others, please leave all such devices outside the zoo.
